Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Talkume. By using the site, you agree to them. Talkume's core tools are free of charge. Some optional features are paid; they are listed with their prices on our pricing page. There are no subscriptions or hidden fees.

The service

Talkume lets you bundle a CV with a short voice note (up to 90 seconds) into one shareable link. You can record your voice note in any language. Signing in, with Google or with your email and a password, is optional. If you sign in, your links become permanent, your files are saved to a reusable library, and your links are listed in your account. If you don't sign in, your link is a one-off that can't be changed later and expires automatically after 3 months.

The optional AI evaluation listens to a voice note and estimates the speaker's spoken proficiency in whatever language they speak — the language is detected automatically. It returns the detected language, a CEFR level (A1–C2), fluency notes, a transcript in the original language, and comments in English. It only runs when a signed-in user requests it, and once generated, the result is shown to anyone who opens the link. The result is produced by an AI model — it is an automated estimate, not a certified language test or professional assessment, and should not be relied on as one.

Your content

You retain ownership of the CV and voice note files you upload or create. By uploading content, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights. You're responsible for what you upload — don't upload content that is illegal, abusive, or that you don't have permission to share.

We store your files only to provide the service (hosting your link, running an evaluation if requested, and letting you manage your library). We don't claim ownership over your CV or voice note content. You can ask us to remove a link or any of your files at any time by emailing hello@talkume.com.

Acceptable use

Please don't use Talkume to:

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on someone else's rights.
• Attempt to guess, enumerate, or scrape other people's shareable links.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service, or attempt to bypass its security measures.
• Use the service to impersonate someone else without their consent.

We may suspend or remove access for accounts or content that violate these terms.

Shareable links

Links are private by design — non-guessable and excluded from search engine indexing — but they are not password-protected (an optional PIN/password feature may be added in the future). Anyone you share a link with can view its contents, including any AI evaluation that has been run on it. You are responsible for deciding who you share your link with.

No warranty

Talkume is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the service reliable and your data safe, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we're not liable for losses arising from use of the service, to the extent permitted by law.

Interview Simulation

Interview Simulation is a practice job interview by voice with Sara, an AI interviewer, in English, French, German, Italian or Spanish, followed by a written report. The call is recorded, and you agree to that before it starts. The questions, the conversation and the report are produced by AI models: they can make mistakes, and the report is an automated estimate meant for practice, not a certified language test or a hiring decision.

One interview from your account is used when the call begins. If the call fails on our side in its first two minutes, the interview goes back to your account automatically. Each account gets one free trial: a short interview of up to two minutes, with a report. One free trial is available per network every 30 days, so please don't create several accounts to repeat it. Use Interview Simulation for your own practice, and don't record other people in it.

Paid features

Paid features, such as Interview Simulation, are sold as one-time packs at the prices shown on our pricing page. Payments are processed by our payment partner, Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. Interviews are a digital service that starts as soon as you begin one: when you buy, you ask us to make them available right away and agree that you lose your right to cancel an interview once you start it. Refunds follow our refund policy.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use of Talkume after a change means you accept the updated terms.
