Terms of Service
Last updated: August 14, 2026
These terms govern your use of Talkume. By using the site, you agree to them. Talkume is provided free of charge, with no subscriptions or hidden fees.
The service
Talkume lets you bundle a CV with a short voice note (up to 90 seconds) into one shareable link. Signing in with Google is optional. If you sign in, your links become permanent and editable, and your files are saved to a reusable library. If you don't sign in, your link is a one-off that expires automatically after 3 months.
The optional AI evaluation feature analyzes a voice note and returns an English-proficiency assessment (language, CEFR level, fluency, transcript, and comments). It only runs when explicitly requested by a signed-in user, and the result is generated by an AI model — it is an automated estimate, not a certified or professional assessment, and should not be relied on as one.
Your content
You retain ownership of the CV and voice note files you upload or create. By uploading content, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights. You're responsible for what you upload — don't upload content that is illegal, abusive, or that you don't have permission to share.
We store your files only to provide the service (generating your link, running an evaluation if requested, and letting you manage your library). We don't claim ownership over your CV or voice note content.
Acceptable use
Please don't use Talkume to:
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on someone else's rights.
- Attempt to guess, enumerate, or scrape other people's shareable links.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, or attempt to bypass its security measures.
- Use the service to impersonate someone else without their consent.
We may suspend or remove access for accounts or content that violate these terms.
Shareable links
Links are private by design — non-guessable and excluded from search engine indexing — but they are not password-protected by default (an optional PIN/password feature may be added in the future). Anyone you share a link with can view its contents. You are responsible for deciding who you share your link with.
No warranty
Talkume is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the service reliable and your data safe, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we're not liable for losses arising from use of the service, to the extent permitted by law.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use of Talkume after a change means you accept the updated terms.
